Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has demanded accelerated regulatory clarity for cryptocurrencies, citing the sector's explosive growth outpacing current legislation. Speaking at a digital economy conference, Lukashenko emphasized the need for transparent rules and oversight mechanisms to govern the nascent industry.

The president revealed that initial regulatory directives from 2023 remain unimplemented, with no finalized documents reaching his desk. Belarus currently regulates token creation and trading through its Hi-Tech Park under existing ordinances, but Lukashenko insists this framework requires urgent expansion to match market realities.
